| Duties & Responsibilites : | The Network Engineer II provides:
Mac OS X/iOS device and application support; Apple network support, monitoring, and analysis; designing and conducting effective training for users/support personnel at all levels; oversees Administration of the iPad Mobile Device Manager; acts as the main point of contact to Apple, Inc.. Supports Chromebook mobility management.
Primary Functions:
-Builds a support strategy for all Apple and other mobile computing technologies, district-wide.
-Provides excellent customer service including on-call support to end-users at all levels.
-Designs and directs installation of Mac OS X/iOS hardware and software deployments.
-Performs troubleshooting of supported desktop operating systems and applications.
-Documents system problems and resolution for future reference.
-Performs image builds for use on all Apple systems.
-Performs custom software distribution to all Apple systems.
-Manages backup of Apple workstations, laptops, and servers.
-Maintains technical documentation related to the configuration of components (i.e. hardware, operating system, applications, management tools, etc) including installation and troubleshooting instructions for each.
Secondary Functions:
-Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Network Operations or other CCSD administrative staff.
-Takes ownership of and project manages new initiatives necessary to achieve organizational goals.
-Identifies needs and opportunities for improvement within current systems.
-Remains abreast of industry developments (through continuing education, participation in professional organizations, obtaining necessary and appropriate system certifications and review of industry/professional publications) to assist organization in futures planning.
Required Skills:
-Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration, security, and protocols. Microsoft Active Directory.
-3-4 years experience in Apple support with emphasis on Intel-based Apple hardware and software including, Mac OS X, and iOS devices.
-Associates Degree in Networking Technology or related field, OR
-An additional year of related experience in network technology may be substituted for up to 30 hours of college coursework in networking technology -Valid Driver’s License

Lightspeed Mobile Device Manager Organization Level administration
Chromebook Mobility Management
Internal training and education available only to Apple employees obtained through previous employment with Apple, Inc.
Apple Certified Macintosh Technician Certification.
