| Duties & Responsibilites : | Data Architect/Modeler Client is looking for an experienced professional with excellent communication skills, to engage on multiple projects across the enterprise in the role of data architect and modeler. Immediate requirement is to participate in a IT Service Management (configuration management database) project, analyze requirements, create normalized data models (3NF) to ensure data integrity and avoid data redundancy, and convert these to optimized physical schema. Required skills: • Knowledge of data architectural and modeling patterns across spectrum of data architecture/management, including application databases/repositories, batch and real-time data integration, operational data stores, data warehousing and analytic data repositories etc. • Proven experience with analyzing and defining data architectures and data models for different application types (operational/analytical) • Deep understanding of table structures, primary/alternate/foreign keys and integration patterns • Ability to create conceptual and logical data models that can translate to robust and efficient physical data models • Good understanding of data quality, metadata management • Experience with multiple database systems, particularly Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server • Self-starter individual with excellent communication skills and ability to engage with multiple teams/individuals at different levels • Ability to translate business requirements into data models through requirements analysis, technical discussions and “white-boarding” sessions • Excellent documentation skills, strong experience with Microsoft Visio and CA ERwin data modeler • Experience in the healthcare industry, and good understanding of “Provider” and “Patient” domains Nice to have but not mandatory: • Understanding of IT service management, experience with FrontRange HEAT • Experience with master data management and/or master person index technologies • Knowledge/experience with reference data management and metadata management • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Healthcare Analytics (EHA) platform • Knowledge/experience with Hadoop platform • Experience with academic medical centers or large hospitals |
