| Duties & Responsibilites : | Local candidates will be preferred! · Provisions and maintains a stable environment for the operation of the company's business applications using Oracle Database Technology · Meets SLAs for Database Systems Uptime Database Systems Performance · Facilitates development, implementation, maintenance and continuance of databases within the current infrastructure. · Establishes and implements database policies, procedures and standards, and ensures their conformance. · Works closely with other members of Application Development and Technical Operations teams to identify and implement continuous improvement, new or enhanced measurement reports and effective problem resolution Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with at least five years' experience in the development life cycle and maintenance of systems/databases in one or more computing environment · 5+ years of Operational or Engineering DBA experience with Oracle 11g RAC is required. · Proven track record of project and service delivery with increasing levels of responsibility. · Skills in automating Oracle Database builds preferred. · Strong experience with Source Control utilities for Oracle preferred. · Strong Linux operating system skills at the user level are required. · Experience in Oracle Advanced Data Guard is strongly desired. · Providing on-call support for any database operations/activity 24x7x365. · Identification and resolution of software or database problems. · Creating and maintaining automation scripts DDL and DML activity in production databases · Coordinating with engineering and database architects in analyzing automated workload reports (AWR) from Enterprise Manager (Grid Control), tuning bad SQL to improve database response times. · Working with other members in Ops, Release management and IT teams to push patches, new releases and database features through Change management. REQUIRED SKILLS: -Oracle,SQL,PL/SQL -Candidate needs to be good with RAC on multinode systems. - They need to have installed and configured RAC clusters from scratch. -Candidate needs to be able to automate scripts |
