Performs repeatable testing procedures and processes. Verifies triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, hardware product or system specifications. Interprets and modifies code as required that may include C/C++, C# batch files, make files, Perl scripts, queries, stored procedures and/or triggers. Job scope includes writing automation test scripts for simulating user interactions such as data entry, menu selections, mouse actions, data I/O, etc. Requires application level configuration skills. What is a typical day going to look like for this person? Will they be reporting directly to you each day? --This person will be migrating MS Orchestrator integration packs to partial modules that can be used for customers. They have a teammate that is creating the integration wizard, but they’re not doing the migration or testing. That’s where this person comes in. These integration packs are add-ons for MS Orchestrator. Customers use these integration packs to create their solutions, so they want the customers to migrate to the new technology and new version. The NEW add-on is not integration packs, but the aforementioned partial modules. This person will take each list of integration packs, run through the wizard to convert to partial module, verify that the motion went through. They’ll have exposure to the old product and new product for visibility. The individual should have PowerShell knowledge and C# knowledge. Prior MS Orchestrator knowledge would be great. Please list your TOP 3 required skills that candidates must have. a.) PowerShell b.) C# c.) Testing experience, should have used Windows server, SQL server Tell us about the type of personality which performs best in your team, given the overall environment, and workplace dynamics. --This person must be independent, be able to proactively disambiguate, unblock themselves and make quick progress. The team is relatively laid back, but people are extremely helpful. Every day they are measuring performance and reacting, so it is still pretty fast-paced. They have excellent resources (Program Managers) who have extensive experience in this technology so they will have access to subject matter experts. Must be able to ask questions, pick up new technologies quickly. How many overall years of experience should this person have? Does this person need to have previous work history with Microsoft? If yes, are there any specific internal tools with which they’ll need experience? --Should have 3+ years of experience, MSFT experience is a plus. They should have C# experience although they will not be writing any automation. Orchestrator, System Center experience.
