| Duties & Responsibilites : | · Collaborate effectively with agile team members to produce functional, high-quality software. · Design and implement (create and enhance) timely and reliable software solutions. · Proactively engage and educate support staff to troubleshoot and maintain IT systems. · Develop bug fixes and enhancements for configuration-driven, monitoring-friendly, scalable systems. · Implement agile software development best practices and lessons learned as a means of continuous improvement. · Build automated unit, integration and regression test suites to ensure quality. Most Important Skills: -Java, Spring, Hibernate, SOAP, JUnit, SQL development and Mule. Required and Desired Skills: · Strong oral and written communication skills · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, fun and rewarding team-based environment · Knowledge and practical experience with object-oriented design and design patterns · 2+ years development experience in Java · 2+ years design and development experience in Perl, specifically, the following skills: o Application development (as opposed to strictly CGI or maintenance scripts) o DBI/DBD, especially Sybase and Oracle; DBIx is a plus o Usage as well as creation of Perl modules · SQL/database programming in one or more of the following commercial relational databases: MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL · Competency in basic Linux platform development and deployment activities · Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit, Test::More) · Experience with XML, HTML, _vbscript_, CGI, _javascript_, AJAX · Experience with Tomcat or JBoss and web technologies such as SOAP, REST and RMI · Experience with source control package such as Subversion or CVS · Experience with J2EE (Servlets, JSP's, Custom Java tags, etc.) · Experience in agile software development methodology is desired Education: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Interview Process: In person |
