-The primary accountabilities are to be a single point of contact for enterprise delivery of technical infrastructure.
-Creation, coordinate and presentation of DPS (Design Proposal Summary) and ultimately coordinate the work of all engineering teams for multiple projects.
-Must have a broad based knowledge of many technical areas, including but not limited to the following:WAN, LAN, switches, routers, WiFi, server
technologies, Microsoft, Unix/Linux, Solaris, Oracle DBMS and Apps, SQL Server, PCI, PII, firewalls, F5 load balancers, VIP’s, DMZ’s, virtualization
including VMWare, virtual desktops, vlans, network design, DNS, messaging, IBM's MQ and Tibco, Websphere, Weblogic, .NET, storage, backups,
Identity Management, Active Directory, single signon, etc.Must be able to coordinate with engineers and understand technical design for enterprise
infrastructure and applications.
-Must also follow and understand enterprise technical standards using suite of products that meets the performance, stability and scalability to
support a 24x7 global enterprise.
Tasks to be Performed:
-Coordinate engineers to create technical designs based on enterprise and business requirements utilizing United's technical standards and suite of technologies.
-Will also represent the technical design at review meetings for discussion and approval by a team of technical leaders.
-Coordinate work of other engineers (network engineers, systems engineers) required to have the infrastructure installed, loaded and configured.
Basic Qualification:
Skillset Details: A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in a Technology discipline and possessing 8 or more years of IT experience with emphasis on development/implementation of large scale critical infrastructure projects.
-Ability to independently problem solve and be self-directed, having attention to details, and the ability to capture, organize and analyze information. Broad knowledge of computing technologies required as listed above.
