| Duties & Responsibilites : | -The Enterprise Data Architect will be someone with strong Data Warehousing background and some exposure/experience with architecting Big Data solutions.
-This person will be working closely with the other Architects who have domain knowledge and are familiar with the datawarehouse to understand the pain points and business drivers for Big Data then develop a reference architecture, developing a high level roadmap and strategy to get there.
-Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to influence key stakeholders.
-The Enterprise Data Architect defines the vision, strategy and principles for data management across the portfolio of technologies for the
Global client organization.
-The Enterprise data Architect leads the development of client data strategy and is accountable for establishing and promoting the company’s
Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) , including definition of data entities and their relationships, depiction of the enterprise information
supply/value chain (where and how information is created, updated, stored, distributed, and used), conceptual and logical data models, data
integration architecture and other related artifacts.
-This individual provides the architectural vision, thought leadership, and planning and oversight needed to define the company’s data strategy and
EIA and to implement them in meaningful, tangible ways.
-Accountable for defining and promoting client enterprise information (data) strategy and Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) and for identifying
and communicating their implications (e.g. on Application development and systems infrastructure).
-Accountable for defining and documenting the current state and future state Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) and for specifying roadmaps
and actionable plans and investments to achieve the orderly transition to the future state.
-Establishes and promotes enterprise information management principles, models, best practices, and standards and ensures their practical adoption
-Ensures that the EIA is properly scoped on enterprise information—those information assets deemed significant to the enterprise based on impacts
on the company’s strategic business objectives.
-Responsible for identifying and leading initiatives that promote the implementation of the information strategy and the future state EIA Accountable
for the information architecture governance of strategic Applications and projects, ensuring their practical alignment with the information strategy
and EIA
-Contributes to the work of Architects and others to implement the information strategy and EIA within the tactical context of solution delivery,
advising on aspects of data modeling, database design, and information delivery
-Champions efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information management solutions and capabilities, such as master data
management, metadata management, business intelligence, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure
disciplines and components.
-Facilitates the development of enterprise data governance and policies, including appropriate data stewardship, data audit requirements, and
-service-level agreements to support the appropriate quality and use of information
-Analyzes technology, industry, and market trends and determines their potential impact on the enterprise
Professional Qualifications:
· 10 + years of broad experience in the information technology to include business intelligence, information architecture strategy, IT strategic
planning in a large global corporation.
· 6+ years Data warehouse/Business Intelligence experience with 1+ years handling big data platform using Hadoop technology
· Exceptional Data Warehousing and Modeling skills with proven track record designing large, complex Data Warehouse solutions pulling from multiple
data sources
· Experience developing or architecting enterprise data warehouse and reporting solutions
· Familiarity with Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, Business Intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques
· Knowledge of Big Data principles and tools is required.
· Must possess strong organizational, facilitation and critical thinking abilities, to assess complex problems, analyze options, navigate diverse
perspectives and objectives and develop acceptable
. Enterprise application and governance solutions.
· Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
· Strong leadership skills
· Excellent written and oral communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create effective marketing and messaging material
· Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as to determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-
functional barriers
· Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
· Ability to initiate and build relationships at all levels of the organization
· Experience with SAP ECC , SAP Data Services , HANA , Oracle, Business Objects BI Tools would be a plus
Required Skills:
Candidates do not need to be local, but must be willing to sit in Harrisburg, PA--there will be extensive travel involved for this role.
