| Duties & Responsibilites : | • Candidate will be responsible for developing solutions that improve the performance of future WLAN networks.
• The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IEEE specifications (11n/ac), develop and implement novel solutions that can improve wireless system performance (throughput/latency/power efficiency, etc.), understand system design complexity/performance tradeoffs and be able to implement and validate the gains by detailed analysis and simulations.
• Candidates with strong expertise in wireless simulations including physical and/or medium access layer algorithm development and implementation will be preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
• MS/Ph.D. in a relevant field (EE, CS or closely related discipline) is required;
• 5+ years of experience in wireless systems research/implementation in WLAN (11n/ac);
• Hands on experience developing physical layer and/or media access control (MAC) algorithms and simulations;
• Excellent knowledge of OFDMA and advanced MIMO technologies demonstrated by highly cited publications and/or standards contributions
• Deep understanding of IEEE 802.11 specification and system performance is preferred;
• Minimum 3+ years participation in IEEE and/or 3GPP standardization activities
• Experience with wireless system simulator development in C++ and/or MATLAB;
• Excellent knowledge of MIMO, OFDM, OFDMA techniques with focus on implementation;
