| Duties & Responsibilites : | EOS Network Engineers AND Systems Engineers with Scripting (Chef, Perl, Python) - 6 resources total and we are flexible in how that breaks out.
- The bank is expected to achieve double digit growth next year
- Expected to quadruple in the next 18 – 24 months
- Legacy Infrastructure growth cannot react as quickly and CIO needs and does not want the infrastructure to delay any growth in the business.
- They currently have two separate infrastructures:
- Legacy:
Cisco R/S devices (Core/Distribution/Aggregate model)
F5s
Firewalls
Etc.
Separate Manual processes for changes to each category
- Data Center
Arista EOS based infrastructure
- HM is aware he does not have enough in-house EOS expertise and bringing people up to speed could be a longer lead-time than he would like.
- HM is looking for assistance from someone that has done this before
Request/requirement:
- Need up to 6 engineers in all
- Although they need to have general Networking understanding, coding expertise is more important
Chef recipes, perl, python scripting
- HM is looking to start small and build up to the 6 people so we have the chance to stage them in.
-Evaluate the efficiency of their current EOS environment
-Get an understanding of the work that will take place throughout 2015
-Altogether the resources would assist with:
-Creating the environment that can scale with the growth of the business
-Be a bridge as the in-house expertise gets built up
-Integrate the two infrastructure environments if required
-Automating the management processes required for the legacy Infrastructure
Skillsets:
- Networking Understanding – Does not need to be Cisco
- FW’s, LB, IPAM
- Chef recipes coding
- Python
- Perl
- Arista is nice to have not required
