| Duties & Responsibilites : | -Lead and design technology solutions that are innovative, cost effective, high quality, and enable timely delivery to the business customer.
-Create, or contribute to teams that create application architecture artifacts, design frameworks, standards and best practices based on the technologies used
-Interface, and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical staff. Collaborate with Project Managers to provision estimates and develop overall implementation solution plans
-As required, serve as a software development technology lead
-As needed, support business development life cycle by serving as a product SME to help identify and quantify business development opportunities
Work with business analysts, solution designers and developers on projects to clarify the requirements and application architecture, and assist them in implementing proposed solutions
Essential Job Functions
-Acts as the subject matter expert for the program and serves as the end to end system architecture authority within that scope.
-Responsible for solution design, impact assessment based on business requirement.
-Work with component or system teams and come up with solution architecture, system roles and responsibilities for a particular project, system interaction diagrams, and system requirements.
-Display ability to quickly understand newer systems, functions.
-Ability to use open source products to come up with prototyping as required. Develop proof of concepts as needed to check feasibility of adopting a solution.
-Reviews and approves high risk design decisions prior to implementation.
-Leads system design activities or reviews system designs to ensure that applications solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
-Leads technology and product general assessments, detailed evaluations, and final selections.
-Educates and provides technical advice to management.
-Leads system performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities.
-Coordinates and manages activities of multiple hardware and software vendors on large project engagement.
-Represents Company in technology discussions with vendors.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ethernet,Java,.NET
Desired Experience/Qualities:
-Experience in Telecom or ISP domain is a plus.
-Experience in Ethernet , Internet technologies is a plus.
-Experience developing, promoting and executing an enterprise technical vision based on customer business needs and industry best practices
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
-Experience converting high level business requirements into enterprise level technical solutions
-Experience with a variety of hardware platforms including distributed platforms, desktops and mobile devices
-Comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems environments
-Experience leading multiple projects through the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
-Experience in Java/J2EE and/or .Net frameworks is a plus.
-Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology is a plus
