| Duties & Responsibilites : | -Under general direction, perform and lead test efforts including organizing, assigning and monitoring testing deliverable for projects or maintenance releases.
-Works collaboratively with Architects, Business Analysts, Development Team, QA Analysts, and Customers to plan, develop, execute and review test plans and test approaches to validate a delivered technical solution meeting the business, functional and technical requirements.
-Responsible for mentoring the work of team members; will work with the team on estimates, test plans, test cases and test suites.
-Recommend and implement improvements to current procedures.
-Creates documentation and signs off on application readiness for deployment to a Production environment.
-Create and execute software tests to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
-Carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end user requirements.
-Develops metrics and defect reports to inform project managers, customers, and IT stakeholders on quality of a solution.
-Acts as a subject matter expert for projects, providing assistance on business and technical related questions.
-Effectively communicates with the team, business units and all levels of management.
-Document and work to resolve all problems; while reporting progress on resolutions to management.
-May assist in the development and execution of automation scripts.
-Assist in resource scheduling and coordinating projects.
-Stays informed of technical trends and makes recommendation for process, tool or environments as needed.
-Provides input into team’s budget and associate performance reviews.
Preferred Experience and Skills (Must haves)
-6 to 8 years’ experience in software testing
-Previous experience in leading a Desktop Redesign project
-Previous experience in a QA leadership role/position
-Analytical problem solving skills
-Detail oriented
-Written and verbal communication skills
