| Duties & Responsibilites : | -Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications focused towards database oriented development. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
-Design and implement database objects, Experience working with Oracle databases (11g/10g/9i). Present data models and reviews during internal and external peer review meetings.
-Analyze production database issues and assist corporate and institutional clients regarding various computerized business and corporate business and corporate applications. Usage of SQL *PLUS, PL/SQL to write complex database programs.
-Must be able to understand all aspects of SQL programming.
-Participate in the identification and analysis of innovations and concepts during design, implementation, and maintenance phases in Oracle database, including SQL tuning, secure access to data. Work with managers, technical staff, and subject matter experts to formulate and address strategic and tactical objectives related to the implementation and deployment of web applications and other internal support systems.
-Accept lead role for projects as assigned and contribute as a team member to other projects in an ongoing manner.
-Accept responsibility for all aspects of database administration, as needed.
-Assist with capacity planning.
-Collaborate effectively with Analysts, Developers, and QA teams. Execute these duties within an Agile framework including onshore and offshore resources.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of documented experience with Database Architecture especially using Oracle, RAC and Advance Queueing
5+ years of experience in efficient PL/SQL coding and SQL tuning
Acts independently with very limited direction.
