| Duties & Responsibilites : | Requirements: • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline • 7+ years experience as a Software Developer focused on financial services domain • Experience with financial data management is a strong plus • Proficient in different databases including but not limited to Oracle, My SQL, Mainframe databases like DB2, VAM, DDBE, PL/ SQL, Big Data solutions like MongoDB, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc. • Experience with data distribution products, with emphasis on financial data processing • Hands-on development experience in developing software applications using Hadoop/ Cassandra • Experience in developing software and good understanding of very large database processing, performance optimization, database installation & configuration • Strong knowledge and understanding of Agile methodology and concepts. • Must be quality driven and have an attention to detail in order to assist the team in providing high quality, cutting-edge technical solutions. • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to the database applications Skill and Role Summary: -Big Data Developer with experience in Hadoop or Cassandra will work with clients subject matter experts to help them decide on the big data platform and migration strategy from Mainframe databases. -Work will involve designing and developing Proof Of Concept (POC) for data management and data processing services. -This role requires extensive knowledge and experience with Big Data products especially with Hadoop and Cassandra. |
