Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Writes source code, adapts existing components, compiles, links and tests the developed components as units creating test stubs and test data as necessary. Fixes defects identified during unit testing and re-execute unit tests to verify the expected behavior. Translates the business requirements into a further level of detail that describes how to implement the system. Performs project management tasks including planning, estimating, status reporting and scope management. Participates in definition of the requirements of a system including the functional and non-functional requirements. Performs analysis and conceptual design on complex system components and ensures designs are accurately documented and receive the appropriate stakeholder approval. Provides the appropriate support both ongoing and during the integration and acceptance testing phases. Performs other duties as assigned. Education/Experience/Skills Required: BA/BS in computer science or information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 4 or more years of application development experience required. Excellent analytical, PC and problem solving skills required. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required. Specific Skill/Experience: Programming Technologies: VB.NET & C# for .NET 2.0 or higher (3.5 or 4.0 preferred), WPF/XAML, WCF, LINQ, Java, Visual Basic 6, ASP.NET, Legacy ASP, SOAP, XML, ADO, DAO, C++, Iron Python, and Perl. Programming Types: Client/Server, n-tier, Windows services, web services, SOA, multi-threaded, and web based. Database Technologies: Design, management and tuning for SQL Server (thru 2008), SQL Server Compact and Mobile editions, and Oracle. Experienced with SQL, T-SQL and PL/SQL query languages.
