| Duties & Responsibilites : | Demonstrated Experience with the following:
- RedHat operating systems with HP and Cisco hardware
- Installation, configuration and support of RedHat 5.X/6.X, LDAP and directory-based authentication
- Daily support of RedHat environments including: Account Maintenance, server builds, proactive monitoring, performance tuning, capacity mangement and security management
- RedHat Satellite and Nagios
- KVM virtualization
- Help desk ticketing processes, change management and SLA management
- Disaster recovery and emergency incident response
- Shell and Perl scripting experience
- Linux on x86 installs, configurations and support
- BMC Remedy and HP PPM Center experience
- Printing/plotting administration
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Linux
-Remote Graphics
-RED HAT LINUX
Qualifications:
- Education Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience Required: At least 5 years’ experience in a senior Linux systems administrator role
- 3 years experience implementing Linux system virtualization
- Experience working in an oil and gas setting
- Effectively work in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in stressful situations occasionally requiring after hours emergency response
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to collaborate with resources across multiple disciplines
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, problem analysis and resolutionExperience collaborating with both onshore and offshore resources
