| Duties & Responsibilites : | -lient is currently seeking a Senior Software Administrator to provide administration and technical support.
In particular the candidate will focus on the Business Intelligence (BI) suite of tools.
-he successful candidate will have extensive experience with the following products: Oracle’s BI products, including OBIEE and BI Publisher, IBM Cognos, ETL Tools such as Data Stage and Informatica.
-hey will also need to have extensive experience with complex system integration as well as proven strong problem solving experience.
-hey will need to work closely with application owners and President’s Office management to ensure a robust dynamic software deployment that will ensure success for the University.
General Summary
-Executing Software Administration related tasks needed to perform Installs, Upgrades and on-going maintenance and support.
-DataStage ETL Experience
-Operational support with Cognos and Informatica
-Extensive experience with OBIEE and BI Publisher
-Coordinating infrastructure related efforts with the system administration and database administration staff
-Communicate well with and support users, application specialists, developers, technical infrastructure staff and project management through all phases of development and support
-Carry out duties in a manner consistent with a complex, diverse, dynamic hardware and software environment that serves a multi-campus university community
-Interact effectively (verbally, written, etc.) with users, team members, vendors and management to ensure the delivery and use of application is consistent with agreed upon project goals
-Development of skills necessary to support other applications and technology as required
-On-Call support is required and included as part of the compensation
-Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in information systems, computer science or related field
-Minimum of seven (7) years experience with Oracle BI Administration.
-Experience with Best practices, upgrades, system migrations and Production support tied to a Service Level Agreement.
-Familiarity with UNIX/Linux at a systems admin level.
-Experience with Performance Optimization
-Experience with Oracle WebLogic (Enterprise Manager Console, WebLogic Admin Console)
-Familiarity with CITRIX.
-Experience installing and supporting Oracle’s Business Intelligence products.
-Basic familiarity with networking concepts including firewall technology and hardware load balancers.
-Minimum of seven (7) years demonstrated progressive experience using Oracle Databases and SQL query tools.
-Solid interpersonal skills, with ability to work alone as well as with people of all levels of information technology expertise and comfort in varied organizational relationships.
-Ability to think clearly and take best course of action in high-pressure situations.
-Ability to change focus and change direction as business needs change.
-The individual must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate a team-oriented, goal-and results-driven work ethic.
-The role requires working collaboratively with other BI team members and other Technical Team members.
