Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Restructure the existing operational reporting infrastructure to
create a uniform standards based (i.e., HL-7) platform to support
operational, financial, and statistical reporting requirements in
conjunction with the implementation of VistA, the new Electronic Medical
Records system.
2. Oversee and direct the Data Warehouse & ETL modernization to align
processes and practices with industry best practice.
3. Develop governance structure, policy, and procedures to support DW,
ETL, BI, MDM capabilities.
4. Provide technical guidance and direction to OBIEE 11g
Administrative staff to facilitate operational process and support best
practices.
5. Participate in the Architectural Reviews of initiatives to insure
uniformity of architecture and data collection processes.
6. Participate in IBM Inititate requirements gathering sessions,
provide input on source data selection, algorithm fine tuning, and
implementation reviews to assure accurate integration of the output within
new and existing information systems.
7. Participate in Apelon requirements gathering sessions, provide
input on source data selection, dictionary development, and implementation
reviews to assure accurate integration of the output within new and existing
information systems. This includes providing direction and technical
assistance in the integration of Apelon with Service Bus technology to
disseminate updates to dependent systems.
8. Provide direction and mentoring to existing leadership staff on
best practices, policy and procedure development consistent with EIM Center
of Excellence direction.
Skills Needed:
. 84 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience as a data
architect in a Business Intelligence/DW environment developing a multi-phase
Operational Data Store including data mapping and ETL design,
. 84 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience team
leader/management experience in an IT Business Intelligence environment
leading a multi-disciplinary team including data modelers, ETL developers,
and OBIEE or similar programmers.
. 60 Months Demonstrated hands-on administration
experience with OBIEE 10/11g overseeing enterprise level infrastructure
supporting multi developer.
. 36 Months Demonstrated hands-on administration and
development experience with OBIEE 11g overseeing enterprise level
infrastructure supporting multi developer teams including VM environments.
. 84 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience with
dimensional modeling of multi-star models.
. 60 Months Demonstrated experience in hands-on project
management experience in an IT Business Intelligence environment
. 60 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience as an
Oracle DBA.
. 84 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience creating
governance processes and IT support plans for enterprise level organization.
. 84 Months Demonstrated experience SQL development
experience including performance tuning, in an enterprise reporting
environment.
