Responsible for performing engineering activities required to support the Middleware Server Infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
. Implement and support Middleware infrastructure solutions to support project needs. Participate in all phases of engineering life cycle to ensure consistent approaches in the technical design across projects/programs. Implement systems changes into production environment following change control methodology.
. Automate processes using scripts and automation tools
. Work effectively in a cross-functional team; capable of receiving work direction from direct and indirect leadership.
. Review existing systems and recommend changes\enhancements to technology as appropriate, to improve efficiency and total cost.
. Create and maintain technical documentation on systems and applications to ensure efficient planning and execution of work.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Ability to dialogue effectively with IT stakeholders, quality assurance, and application development teams to implement applications and business solutions
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Experience with MQ and WebSEAL a plus
· Knowledge in Java based web application development, or shell scripting a plus
· Comfortable working in an environment with changing priorities. Able to meet objectives and timelines with minimal oversight
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Strong analytical and technical problem solving skills
· A minimum of four years experience working with web application servers like WebSphere Application Server 7.x
· Experience with IBM HTTP server
· Experience in installing and configuring JVMs and Monitoring tools
· Experience in deployment automation and continuous integration
· A minimum of three years experience working on Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems
· Solid background in web technologies and knowledge of application integrations
· Experience implementing IT infrastructure or applications
· Experience with Adobe Experience Manager
Must Have:
. JVM, and other monitoring tools
. Deployment and continuous integration experience
. Windows, Unix environment experience. Linux a plus
. Web technology – High level understanding of how web environments work
. IBM HTTP Server experience
. WebSphere (version 7 or newer)
