Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 12+ months
Rate: Open
Specific activities to be performed include but are not limited to:
• Manage project using a Project Management Body of
Knowledge (PMBOK) based project management methodology containing well defined
and documented processes, templates, and guidelines for all project phases, the
adherence to which is required and managed by a formal Project Management
Office.
• Prepare and manage Project Management Plan including but
not limited to: scope statement, schedule, budget, quality plan, risks, issues
and communication plan, etc)
• Prepare documents such as presentations and training
materials;
• Track Project performance to ensure goals are being met;
• Identify and facilitate communications with stakeholder
groups;
• Utilize formal project change process and communicate
changes with all stakeholders;
• Status health checks with stakeholders to synchronize
expectations;
• Develop transition plan(s) and execute those plans to
ensure orderly transition to ITS Enterprise Operations including proper
mentoring and training as needed to ensure successful transition.
Skills Needed:
· 84 months of experience in managing multiple large, complex IT
projects.
· 84 months of experience in managing an IT project with a minimum of
eight project team members.
· 60 months of experience in developing and maintaining schedules in
Microsoft Project.
· 60 months of experience in managing projects using a Project
Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) based project management methodology
containing well defined and documented processes, templates, and guidelines for
all project phases, the adherence to which is required and managed by a formal
Project Management Office.
· 48 months of experience in managing COTS software implementation
projects or in-house application development (SDLC) projects.
· 48 months of experience in facilitated elicitation and documentation
of business requirements.
· 36 months of experience in managing large scale, complex projects for
New York State agencies.
· 24 months of experience in managing projects that involves multiple
agencies.
· College degree (3.75 for Bachelor, 5 for Masters).
· Certified Project Management Professional.
· A copy of the valid certification must be submitted with the
Candidate Response Form.
