*Location: Austin, TX* *Duration: 6 Months+* *Rate: Open* *Description:* - The management of the processes, systems and functions to package, build, test and deploy changes and updates into a live, production environment. - Participate in the entire software development process and build and release cycle. - Maintain responsibility for all software source code, change control, configuration management, issue tracking, build and deployment process. Identify, design, and develop tools to allow efficient configuration management, build, and release of software. - Coordinate build schedules and work with all areas of application delivery to ensure final version and processes are up to organizational standards. *Required Qualifications, Skillsets and Abilities* - Four (4) year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree a plus. - Three (3) or more years of professional experience in Managing Build and Release engineering, Java development, product development or testing in UNIX environment with a willingness to learn/excel in build and release. - Very strong Project Management experience performing ITIL RM /SCM activities. - Knowledge of RSCM concepts (code lines, branching, merging, integration, versioning, etc.) - Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills. - Clarity and precision in verbal and written communications. - Ability to work with customers, developers, testing, product management, support staff. - Familiarity with software development life cycles and agile programming methodologies. - In-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk and understand varied customer deployments. - Ability to learn new skills quickly as needed. - Understanding with the following tools: o SVN (Subversion) o ClearQuest o Git o Oracle o Java - Good Project Management skills with a strong technical understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle. - ITIL Transition certified. - Self-starter with ability to handle multiple, concurrent priorities and projects. - Strong negotiation and customer relations skills.
