*Key Responsibilities:*
Work with QA manager to formulate and drive Automation strategy on
performance and regression testing as a standard
Create detailed Performance Test Requirement and Test Plan/Approach
documents
Set up automation framework(s), contributes to the development and
continued improvements in terms of automation test methods, processes and
deliverables
Design, develop, execute and analyze performance test for Citrix, Web
and Desktop applications (Load Runner)
Creates automation test suite to cover system-level smoke, regression
and functional tests (Tosca)
Designs and develops reusable, automated test cases in accordance with
coding best practices, and understand how to build new coverage into
existing automation test suite
Collaborate with development teams to understand how development
changes affect
ongoing Automation efforts
Lead automation test efforts and mentor existing QA team members on
best practices
Work with development and engineering teams to analyze and resolve
defects related to performance bottlenecks and capacity factors
Provide test coverage analysis based on automation results
Ability to prepare and present performance test plan, performance test
analysis and performance test result (by analyzing results from
load/automation tests)
Document, track, and escalate issues using JIRA, Quality Center, or
similar tools
Ability to work independently as well as in team.
*The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:*
BS or MS Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
3+ year experience contributing to the improvement of automation test
frameworks and infrastructure
3+ year experience designing and implementing test automation
3-5 years of experience in performance testing using HP Load Runner
3+ hands-on experience developing VuGen scripts, including building and
executing LoadRunner scenarios, analyzing the results
Solid knowledge of QA process and testing methodology (Agile, STLC,
V-Model, Waterfall)
Ability to adapt in changing priorities and technologies in a highly
multi-tasked environment
Minimum 3 years of experience in C, VB, ASP.NET, JSON, XML
Solid working experience with QA Automation Tools (LoadRunner, QTP,
Tosca, Selenium, Browserstack)
Understanding of relational databases and SQL queries
Excellent written and communication skills
Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated
Certification on automation tools (e.g. Load Runner) is a BIG plus
