*Position : .Net Backend Support Developer *

*Location: NYC (Manhattan) , NY*




*Duration: 12+ Months with the possibility of longer Interview : Phone /
Skype Job Description/ Day-to-day activities including but not limited to
the following -*

·               Web hosting support – environment setup including web
server, web site, web app, windows service; application deployment,
monitoring, troubleshooting on infrastructure side. Most are .NET and
ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> applications.

·               Project DB support – SQL support: set up new SQL DB,
backup, restore, maintenance

·               Project support – set up application/project overall
environment, individual client environment and application instance

·               Application support – Microsoft and non-Microsoft Windows
application installation, configuration, troubleshooting, integration

·               User/App access/connectivity troubleshooting – from
network, Internet, VPN to web site, server, RDP, FTP, EFT, permissions, etc.

·               Tools/Utilities development – maintain scripts and .NET
applications to streamline and automate project support (deployment,
monitoring, verification, etc.); and develop new ones as needed.

·               AD Access management  - logins, groups, group policies.





*PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:*

·               2-3 years in experience in application development or
application support of ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> and .NET applications

·               2-3 years of experience in MS SQL database support
(SQL2005, 2008R2) – set up new SQL DB, backup, restore, development in
Transact-SQL

·               3+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003
and Microsoft IIS6, better if Windows 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5

·               Experience in scripting and automation using some of the
following: PowerShell, VBScript, Jscript, CMD, etc.

·               Demonstrates an understanding of complex problem solving
techniques dealing with systems engineering and support.

·               Ability to effectively communicate written and verbal to
all levels within the organizations as well as communicate directly with
customers on new projects and / or issues with production systems.
