Typically when people are consulting, they are doing projects (I believe) vs. the administration which often falls to in house resources. This is the kind of work we are talking about with the administration aspect: Advanced level experience in SharePoint administration, including but not limited to security administration, assessing/applying patches, server monitoring, evaluating event/ULS logs, monitoring application health through SharePoint Central Administration, backups/restores, and utilizing Power shell scripting/reporting to gather information or make changes to the SharePoint environment. Note also that our environment is SharePoint 2010. Ability to recognize opportunities for change and challenge assumptions regarding current environments and practices, ensuring that department and Firm leaders are aware of and have considered alternatives and understand associated benefits and risks.
