-Ths is a BI Reports developer position where the person MUST have experinece creating cubes working with SSAS.
-They are using SSAS, MDX in creating their cubes so having MDX in their background is a huge plus.
-they are deconstructing existing reports written in cognos and access and rebuilding them.
-Exposure to any of the SQL reporting tools is good (cognos, crystal reports, SAP, SSRS) but must have exposure to SSRS.
-Create and Modify Analysis Services OLAP cubes
-Working with the larger project Development team to develop reports in SNL Banker (MDX, SSAS, XML, ETL)
-Work on full life cycle of the project supporting business analysts, architecture team and QA during the project.
-Work on requirement analysis, design, development, testing and deployment and release of the work product
-Re-build reports from Cognos and Access into the vendor product, SNL Banker
-Document Cods and meta-data for reports
Qualifications:
-5+ years of total experience with at least 3 years of SSAS development to include the following:
-experience in developing SSAS cubes of medium to high levels of complexity in SQL Server 2008/2012
-experience developing reports in three or more of these tools like Cognos, Crystal, SAP, SSRS, or MDX
-Proficient in MDX scripting
-Experience in Data Testing
-Proven problem solver and prompt in meeting project deadlines
-Strong in preparing technical documentation
-Degree in CS, Programming, or Mathematics is preferred.
-Five years of experience as a BI Developer and report writer
Knowledge and Skills:
-MS SQL developer in BI development
-Strong experience and knowledge of SQL, Server Solutions for BI, SQL Server, Reporting Services (SSRS), SSAS, SSIS.
-Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling
-Experience working with MDX
-Working knowledge of SQL Server security features such as ownership chaining
-Experience working with Visual Studio 2008 BIDS
-Experience with ad-hoc reporting, business dashboard, data visualization, and other tools that are required to make BI results relevant and actionable to the business and business users.
