Overview:

Implement, monitor, test and troubleshoot all hardware and software
pertaining to voice and video communications systems, contact center
systems, interactive voice response, database/systems integration, and
carrier services.  Works with outside vendors to deliver successful
migration from legacy TDM PBX to new IP-based systems and services as well
as ensure system uptime is within the defined SLA for all communications
related systems.  Works with internal software development staff to
implement interfacing from IP-based system to proprietary company software.

Responsibilities:

·         Perform hardware installation, troubleshooting and repairs on
Cisco Unified Communications Manager platform version 10.x, includes Cisco
Teleconferencing VCS (e and x), MCU, and TMS Telepresence Infrastructure.

·         Handle network, operating system, software support, and issues
for all communication systems including Voice Processing System, Unified
Contact Center Enterprise, Call Recording, Unity Connection, Unified
Presence, Unified Telepresence, and 3rd party IVR.

·         Ability to operate within VMWare virtualization environment as an
administrator and/or collaborate with Virtualization team.

·         Provide end user support for call recording tools. Assist end
users as needed to ensure they are able to locate call recordings and
produce those recordings as requested.

·         Work with VoIP and traditional call flows and signaling protocols
which include MGCP, SCCP, H.323, SIP/H.248, RTP/RTCP, T1, DTMF and FXS/FXO,
TCP/IP, LAN Switching, Routing protocols, L2/L3, device configuration,
VLAN, ACL, etc.

·         Install and configure phones, peripheral devices, and software
applications for internal office use, internal/external BYOD
program/services, and remote SOHO.

·         Monitor, maintain, and configure Fax Servers

·         In-depth expertise in VoIP protocols (SIP/H323, RTP, and related
protocols) and their performance from outside the edge thru the core of the
network

·         Perform capacity planning activities to ensure trunk availability
as well as overall system growth needs are met

·         Provide system, call flow, and knowledge base documentation for
all communications systems

·         Provide monitoring of all systems and applications

·         Ensure all daily production work is complete (daily system health
check, monitor trunk capacity and utilization, monitor system backups)

·         Assist with planning and execution of upgrades and software
implementations

·         Serve as the escalation point for 24x7x365 support of all
communications systems

·         Perform other duties as assigned

*Qualifications:*



·         Advanced Cisco Certification, CCNP+ or other related
certification is preferred.

·         Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

·         A minimum of eight to ten years’ experience in telecommunications
is preferred.

·         Versed with various operating systems and application software is
a requirement.

·         Inter-Tel Axxess and Mitel 5000 PBXs, ISDN PRI, CAS T1 is
preferred.

·         Experience with immersive technology utilized for Videoconference
and Collaboration/Training rooms is preferred.

·         VoIP, SIP, CTI, and UC experience are a requirement.

·         Networking skills are preferred. Support experience in a Contact
Center utilizing outbound campaign dialing is preferred.

·         Experience working with outside vendors, carrier, and network
services is required.

·         Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as
they relate to call routing, ACD, and capacity planning.

·         Working knowledge and skill of troubleshooting and repairing
phones, and software applications.

·         Additional knowledge in the following areas is preferred:
Microsoft Windows 7 & 8, Red Hat Linux, CentOS, Windows Server 2008 & 2012.​
