-An Operational Excellence Leader conducts range studies, optimizations of operating procedure studies and special performance studies to determine areas which would adversely affect operations.
-Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices. --Leads the development and execution of process improvements utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive Operational Excellence.
- Develops customer requirements, business processes, and key performance indicators that improve products and services.
-Leads cross functional teams in improvement activities focusing on Maintenance Operations, Quality Management, and Material Supply.
-Manage multiple projects and provide regular reports and records on project activities, status and performance against plan.
-Using strong leadership experience with cross functional teams provides business value plan that results in cost reduction or avoidance.
-Provides workshop/classroom training.
-BS degree in Engineering required, or applicable Ten (10) years engineering experience will be considered
-Must have 3 year plus experience in an assembly line environment, with the ability to work at all levels of management
-Requires 3 years plus experience mapping and understanding the production process. Knowledge of Theory of Constraints preferred.
-Previous experience increasing manufacturing throughput
-Must have an understanding of the product design-to-production process, inclusive of the product, reliability, and production improvement processes for both mechanical and electrical items
-Must be able to track and report variances in plan to local AA Leadership, as well as work to maintain the planned schedule across multiple value streams
-Report issues and status to AA Leadership.
-Must be able to drive to root cause of arising issues and work with Supplier Leadership to implement process changes to prevent recurring issues
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
-Five (5) to ten (10) years engineering and operations experience
-Three (3) to five (5) years of leadership experience
-Two (2) to four (4) years of change management experience
-Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
-Statistical analysis and computer background required
-Excellent analytical, communication, planning, interpersonal, PC and organizational skills required
-Strong managerial skills
-Ability to concurrently handle multiple responsibilities working with others and under pressure
-When applicable, may be required to work
