| Duties & Responsibilites : | -HL7 Interface developer with strong knowledge of health-coded vocabularies like LOINC and SNOMED.
-Experience in Oracle programming and .Net programming.
-This is an excellent contract opportunity for a results-oriented, highly detailed individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with frequently changing priorities and projects.
-This position requires a resource with working knowledge of HL7 application interface development and health-code vocabularies and messaging standards.
-Individual will be involved in the entire cycle of interface application development, including analysis, design/architecture, specification, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
Key responsibilities:
• Serves as subject matter expert for HL7 application interface development.
• Develops, tests and implements new solutions per standards and best-fit for particular data exchange.
• Designs new solutions and handles all aspects of the interface architecture process.
• Works under the direction of the Technical Team lead to ensure results are achieved and deadlines are met.
• Resolves problems and provides daily troubleshooting, analysis, and problem definition for production issues.
• Works with the BA/QA team and data exchange partners to validate and test all new development and exchanges.
• Documents and maintains change control records for all system changes.
Required Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or degree
-Interface development, and data transformation and integration experience - 4 Years
-Extensive knowledge of HL7 technical message specifications and health-coded vocabularies like LOINC and SNOMED -2 Years
-Working knowledge of Orion Rhapsody or similar product - 2 Years
-Experience with data mapping, translation, validation and exception handling - 4 years
-Experience writing SQL queries and complex Oracle packages- Years
-Experience in .Net programming- 4 Years
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent people skills and ability to build results-oriented partnerships
-Able to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of SOAP architecture and experience developing web services is preferred
Highly Desired:
HL7 certification is preferred.
