Senior Consultant is responsible for evaluating existing systems and/or new user needs to analyze, design, recommend, and implement information system changes.
Years of Relevant Experience: More than 10 years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study or advanced degree
Role Description:
PROJECT:
-Restructuring of the Payroll System requiring a consultant with verifiable experience with the following skills and tasks:
-Develop project plan and milestones for the next year
-Assist in dealing with security to address prevention of hacking and data encryption
-Assist staff with NetBean toolset operating within Spring framework
-Evaluate how to convert existing Java infrastructure to updated environment
-Work with client to determine whether WebLogic or TomEE would be the best choice for an app server
-Help in designing a new disbursement system including all aspects of employee payments working within NACHA framework
-Assist in guiding and building a team
-Must be committed to remain for the entire duration of the project (which could extend beyond 12/2015)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Develop executive management presentations and reports
-Engage in ongoing process improvement
-Detailed functional and process knowledge of their discipline(s)
-Utilize deep modeling, design, and assembly skills
-Builds system's capability which reflects the highest state of technical sophistication consistent with the organization's needs and budget
-Recommends insights that contribute to overall organization's strategic management
-Consults with management to determine information requirements of management, determine boundaries and priorities of new projects, and discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions
-Reviews project feasibility studies and makes recommendations
-Provides independant verification and validation
-May assign and schedule work, or delegate work to subordinate managers and surpervisors, and review work performed
-May present prepare proposals and solicit sale of systems analysis, programming, and computer services to outside firms or agencies
-Mentor and coach managers, peers, and subordinates
-Provide knowledge transfer to managers, peers, and subordinates
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-Proven hands on project management skills Required 10 Years
-Development of Requirements Definition Required 10 Years
-LEADING complex software development efforts and the ability to manage and motivate staff Required 10 Years
-Develop plans which lead to tangible results Required 10 Years
-Translated results into a set of software options and sound technical requirements Required 10 Years
-Process automation which reduces manual intervention of programming staff Required 10 Years
-Develop user requirements where the users have limited availability Required 10 Years
