Subcontracted Services Subcontractor will perform the following Subcontracted Services under a SOW in the timeframe and for the fees specified herein: Primary Datacenter (4) DD4500 Planning & Project Management • Participate in Planning Sessions with customer staff • Provide Design and Project Plan for Data Domain implementation using EMC and IBM best practices • Verify bandwidth requirements for Ethernet and FC traffic • Provide progress updates • Coordinate the work effort with customer staff New Equipment Installation All equipment is pre-racked from EMC Connect the Data Domain network cabling to the Customer network Connect the Data Domain FC cabling to the Customer SAN Data Domain Configuration Perform Initial setup of Data Domain • Set hostname • Set domain name • Configure network ports • Set default gateway • Add static routes if required • Add disk shelves to the storage pool(s) • Configure and enable file system • Configure auto support • Configure alert email notification • Configure location information • Set time zone • Configure NFS server exports and client access • Configure CIFS shares and client access • Configure VTL environment • Configure DDBoost • Set up cleaning schedule • Set up optional parameters per Customer and Data Domain standards • Set up site to site replication and optimize the bandwidth throttling TSM Server Integration Assist customer with the following tasks: • Identify the correct Atape driver to use and install the driver • Discover the tape drives and define the library controller on the TSM servers • Work with backup team and DBAs on testing of DDBoost • Create the filesystem structure to store the backup data • Configure Data Domain storage in the backup application o Zone VTL virtual tape drives to TSM servers o Create virtual tape libraries in TSM o Create TSM paths to devices o Define device classes in TSM o Define TSM storage pools o Define TSM policy domains, policy sets, management classes and copy groups o Assign nodes to appropriate policy domains o Test backups using VTL o Create NFS mounts as needed for any backups not using VTL o Optimize TSM options for Data Domain storage pools Secondary replication contexts Work with customer staff to design a disaster recovery solution around TSM and Data Domain Write a custom script to automate the disaster recovery process for TSM using Data Domain Automated recovery of a D/R TSM instance from a DB backup to Data Domain Creating a fastcopy of TSM storage for use by D/R instance Updating of the recovered TSM D/R instance Script runs daily under cron for automated recovery D/R instance can be used for any restores at the D/R site TSM and Data Domain Custom Reporting Custom excel pivot table reporting: Write a collection script that collects data from both TSM DB and Data Domain Custom reporting facility that combines TSM and Data Domain info into detailed customizable reports Displays Data Domain storage consumption and dedupe ratio per TSM node from a client side perspective Analysis of Data Domain utilization by backup data type Graph of dedupe ratio for all Data Domain units Graph of Data Domain utilization by TSM server
