Role Summary/Purpose:
-The Test Software Engineer for driving the Verification and Validation for the next Generation SCADA platform.
-In this role, you will drive the Technology, Tools Selection for Automated Testing, DB Modeling and Administration, Define Test Frameworks, Algorithms for Software performance Improvement and validating Architecture with Functional/Quality attributes driving the Product, UX/UI Thin Clients Testing framework, Testing Analytics on Big Data, Verify and validate the Next Generation Generic SCADA Platform to Support Data Acquisition and Visualization, RMD, Industrial Internet.
Essential Responsibilities:
-Define the Software Test Process, Define Standard Tools for Software Test Management, and Identify Tools for Software Performance Improvement for Framework build on OSGi Architecture (Deploy, Start, Stop Software Framework, Drivers and Applications in Run Time and Remotely).
-Develop Automated Testing Tools and Scripts using labview for Hardware framework, Thin Client Web Based, Java Server and Complex Data Systems.
-Manage the QC Server.
-Work with Build Engineer to Run Automated Test Cases.
-Administer QC Databases Locally and in the Data Cloud.
-Able to create UI, Reports, Data Models, Abstract Physical Data for Testing complex Systems.
-Able to Build Simulation tools to test and verify Software Update Manager (Selling Software as a Service from Cloud).
-Able to Build Test Frameworks for testing High Performance SCADA/Drilling/Big Data Mining/RMD or similar data intense systems.
-Able to Understand the Testing Process to validate Cyber Security issues with Big Data Interfaces or RMD or distributed systems.
-Able to write scripts and use tools to test network traffic for RMD applications.
-Able to adapt and Drive Agile Process for Testing Software.
-Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
-Facilitate testing programs in the lab
-Document technical test data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures. Prepare Testing handover packages for the product teams.
-Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Qualifications/Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university
-Experience in Designing Test Frameworks
-Write Selenium scripts for Testing Thin Clients
-Write LabView Test programs to verify the Hardware Framework
-Expert in writing Stored procedures and Complex Queries to validate Big Data,
-Identify Tools for Testing UX/UI, Manage and Administer DB, Big Data Analytics Testing.
-Have Software Testing or Programming experience working with Data Base, JBOSS, Eclipse, Swing/SWT, LabView, Bitrock, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Blackduck, Sonar, Data Compression and Security, Network Protocols, Web Technologies, Selenium.
