Currently seeking a QA Lead to collaborate with system architects and infrastructure leads to develop and drive a test strategy/approach geared heavily on testing non-functional requirements.
80% of the testing for the project will be non-functional(performance, availability, security, scalability); 20% will be regression testing.

Key Responsibilities :
• Develop the overall project test strategy and approach
• Create and maintain the complete test schedule and calendar, and use this to communicate schedules to all related project team members and management.
• Bring thought leadership and
• Create and provide timely testing status updates to project team members and management.
• Provide standardized test result reports using a standardized and approved format.
• Review the test results with members of the project team and management prior to the release of any associated changes to the production environment.
• Coordinate with application development, quality assurance/test and operations teams to analyze system components and identify needed changes to resolve risks and issues.
Experience: Required:
5-7 years in planning and coordinating technical efforts for multiple concurrent large projects. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge and experience in creating and implementing various types of performance tests including load, stress, scalability and fail-over.
• Experience with Quick Test Pro ,Selenium, or similar products with C#, C++, .NET, and/or web based applications preferred
• The high complexity of the work requires critical thinking skills and strong planning abilities.
• Considerable skill in understanding and focusing on the clients' needs, establishing credibility and building relationships with clients
• Ability to conduct requirements gathering and result review meetings, and tailor content to the audience.
• Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills
• Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets the needs of the client/business partner
• Familiarity with performance tuning principles, methods and tools.
• Familiarity of methods, tools, and technology used in automated performance testing,
• Familiarity with object-oriented development tools, techniques, and principles and at least one object-oriented (e.g. Java, C++) and structural (e.g., C, Pascal) programming language Considerable knowledge of functions, features, and components of existing and planned operating systems and applications
• Ability to effectively analyze and diagnose performance bottlenecks involving CPU, memory, IO, network transport and other IT components
• Ability to deliver results under pressure and tight timelines; this may necessitate working flexible hours including non-business hours and weekends at times.
• Strong coordination abilities, along with a sense of how to work with project teams and business areas to explain the value of non-functional testing, working in a consultative role.
• Considerable knowledge of primary database engines such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation and troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Thorough understanding of common application architectures, e.g., 3-Tier Web., load balancers, networks, firewalls, etc.
• Thorough understanding of UNIX, Linux and Windows server associated performance components and metrics. Desirable to already have experience in collecting server metrics and reporting them using tools.
