This is a 9 to 12 months onsite contract role. Write-up: - 5+ years of PM experience managing $2M+ project budgets. - *Experience with HP service manager* - Experience managing vendors, SOW deliverables - Experience managing accural based accounting / financials for projects *Minneapolis, MNSr. Project Manager (4290200)9 to 12 months* **upon offer, candidates must complete a background and drug screen** *Summary: *The Expert Project Manager is accountable for managing and guiding a team of Vendor and internal IT and Business resources in the on-time, on-budget delivery of a $3M+ solution for a HP Service Manager (HPSM) technical upgrade and deployment of new core functionality. The project will implement the following capabilities: 1) Upgrade the existing HPSM software from version 9.34 to 9.40 2) Implement a new IT Service Catalog 3) Implement new IT On-Boarding Capabilities 4) Replace certain HR Capabilities and work-flow into new HPSM tool 5) Retire existing Remedy tracking system *Responsibilities:* - Planning the work, managing a cross-functional team, managing full project financials (Forecasts, Actuals and Variance explanations) - Performing proactive risk/issue identification and mitigation and providing regular communications at various levels of the organization. - Leads the project planning effort, including the definition of the deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, definition of major project milestones and critical path tasks, management of a Risk, Actions, Issues and Decision (RAID) log sand accumulation of all project cost and benefit estimates. - Must be adept at managing stakeholder expectations, scope, requirements, design, development, testing and deployment using a modified AGILE delivery approach via both internal and external (Vendor) project team resources. - Must LEAD the team to a successful implementation by controlling project execution. - Actively manages monitors, prepares and produces project management reports, timelines, budgets, and documentation. - Must have worked within a formal PMO IT Software delivery environment. *Required:* - Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with management of a $2M project budget or greater. - Proven experience managing scope definition and requirements development from high-level business needs. - Ability to provide thought leadership and develop clear objectives from general goals. - Proven experience managing software implementation projects following a prescribed methodology working within a formal PMO - General utility experience preferred. The project management users for this project are Transmission project managers, budget planners, and management. - HP Service Manager implementation experience is a plus.
