Here is Job Description Location: New York City, NY Position: C++ Developer Duration: Long Term Contract Interview: Telephonic and In person Main Duties: The candidate will be responsible for on-boarding Securitized Products analytics to a new QA interface, and integrating it to a strategic risk generation platform. The candidate will also be responsible for building and supporting various linux-based applications (servers, and clients to servers and computing grid) as well as managing and maintaining some batch processes. Securitized Products is a very data-intensive environment, where large amounts of data being handled puts strain on the systems memory, CPU, middleware and network. Development and design work in this role has to be cognizant of the systems performance, throughput and resource consumption. Required Skills 8+ years of experience with C++ is a must. Some experience with Linux is needed. Working knowledge of one of the more common scripting languages (Perl, for example) is also needed. Experience with Visual Studio and the Windows Development Environment is a plus. Knowledge / Prior experience with TIB middleware messaging, Coherence, grid computing, windows or linux systems programming and building plugins and libraries are all pluses. Prior experience with data-intensive, computationally heavy systems is also a plus. Knowledge of Java can potentially be leveraged.
