*Job Description:*
8 + years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures,
theories, principles, and practices
5+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• SQL Server 2005, 2008 and SQL 2012 knowledge is must.
• Database Administration
• Database Tuning
• Database Management
• Database Security
• RDBMS
• Apply hotfix patches
• Migration of old SQL DB to New version of SQL
• Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Good Technical documentation skills
• Understanding of, and experience with, server-client
computing and relational database environments
• Experience with data management and data processing
flowcharting techniques
• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
• Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
• Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using
native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with HA and DR methodologies (clustering and
Mirroring, Replication and Log shipping)
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
• Experience with Database upgrades and migrations.
