*Location: New York, NY* *Duration: 6 Contracts * *Interview: Phone & F2F * *Start Date: ASAP * *Key Responsibilities*: 30% - Perform Data Analysis 20% - Perform Data Profiling 10% - Apply Data Standards 20% - Gather Data Requirements 20% - Assist developers with database activities *Key Competencies/Skills:* 30% Data Analysis 20% Data Profiling 20% Data Governance / Management 20% Communication with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators 10% SQL performance tuning *Qualifications* *Experience/Knowledge Requirements * Preferred Previous Work Experience: • 6-8+ years of experience in data analysis required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Oracle, SQL Server Databases, and SQL • Minimum 5 years of experience gathering business requirements • Experience in both design and develop of enterprise level operational and data warehouse database systems • Experience in both design and develop of enterprise level operational and reporting systems and dashboards • Strong database design experience and experience with data modeling tools like Erwin etc. • Experience leading design sessions • Experience leading business requirements sessions • Mathematical background with knowledge of pricing, risk calculation, etc. • Solid experience with SQL, R programming experience a plus. • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Must be a self-starter that does not require direct supervision • Have a strong fundamental understanding of project management, specifically in the SDLC and Agile methodologies • Have expert level skills in Microsoft products that include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable them to: • Facilitate meetings with technical peers regarding the requirements definition • Communicate effectively with business, vendor, and project management staff • Participate in ongoing decisions regarding study design, data collection, data analysis, and Methodology *Required Skills/Abilities* · Preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: · Bachelor's degree in quantitative / computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required · Other Skills, Abilities and/or Training: · SQL / R / Data Analysis certifications · Erwin or other Data Modelling tool experience · Ability to write PL/SQL scripts to perform data refreshes from one system to another or run data queries · Ability to identify and map source and target data fields · Ability to work independently or as part of a team -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
