Position: User Experience Designer / UX Consultant Location: New York City, NY Duration: Long Term Contract Interview: Telephonic and In person About Group The development team is looking for a proven, talented UX designer to work with various stakeholders and to come up with the best possible UI design solutions and framework in support of the Octon programme. Responsibilities: Responsible for all phase of the UX development Collaborate with other developers to successfully implement best UI/UX solutions and design Lead user experience design including wireframe and design mock-ups Work with the technology team leads and stakeholders to come up with the best-of-breed design solutions. Work with the Octon Business Analyst and QA testing teams for the successful execution and completion QA, SIT, and UAT testing. Collaborate with the Business Analysts in the production of user guides and manuals. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; or equivalent work experience Minimum 8 years of experience is required. Candidate coming from Investment Banking / Financial Background is highly Preferred. Knowledge of user-centered design process, web best-practices and relevant disciplines; including information architecture, interaction and visual design 2+ years broad experience with highly transactional web sites and software applications from a user-centered standpoint Current web development standards including HTML5 and CSS3 Proficient prototyping and mock up skills to convey ideas and concepts - and experience working with software visualization tools Strong written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and rationale Preferred Qualifications: Experience in UX principles Familiar with design techniques, such as storyboarding, user research, wireframes, etc. Ability to establish credibility with UI developers, Bas, PMs, and stakeholders quickly.
