Duties:

Under limited direction, responsible for all phases of development and
maintenance on assigned projects; communicates with business analysts to
determine system requirements; researches system enhancements and problems;
performs analysis and design of computer applications; performs programming
and testing; performs related work as assigned. Candidates must have the
experience and ability to lead a small project with limited direction.
Candidates work directly with various levels of business and technical
staff to determine sound technical solutions for business requirements.
Candidates work with servers to set-up, install and update software and
trouble shoot issues. Candidates designs, codes, tests and documents
computer programs. Candidates have full technical knowledge of all phases
of applications development and the development technologies utilized.
Candidates provide production support for large, complex applications
including the ability to resolve problems in constrained timeframes.
Candidates are self-starters and self-motivated and have the ability to
quickly learn and apply new technology. Candidates have strong
organization, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Candidates must have complete fluency in speaking and writing in the
English language.



Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 7 years of working with HIPAA/EDI X12
4010/5010 Healthcare transactions. Candidates must have at least 3 years of
experiences in a position providing support for an Edifecs EDI applications
platform. Candidate must have at least 5 years of server experience.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience with relational
databases, including complex SQL accessing a large, complex application
database. Candidate must have at least 3 years of development experience
with COBOL and complex CICS applications accessing DB2 databases in an IBM
mainframe environment.  Working knowledge of SoapUI, MIME, NDM, SFTP and
DB2 UDB tools. Experience with export/import of XML files, PowerBuilder,
IBM MQ Series, VBScript and Sybase EDI Software is preferred.



Must be a self-starter and self-motivated. Must be able to learn quickly
and apply new technology.

Must have seven (7) or more years of working with HIPAA/EDI X12 4010/5010
Healthcare transactions.

Must have three (3) or more years of experience in a position providing
support for an Edifecs EDI applications platform. This is experience must
be current and must include XEConnect, XEServer, Trading Partner
Management, Edifecs Application Management (EAM) and SpecBuilder version
8.x or higher.

Must have five (5) or more years of server experience. This must include
installation of new or upgraded application software for both workstation
and servers (e.g. WINZIP, 7zip, Connect Direct Server component, Edifecs
Software, JMS, Windows services).

Must have five (5) or more years experience with relational databases,
including logical design, understanding of physical design components, and
complex SQL accessing a large, complex application database.

Must have three (3) or more years development experience with COBOL
II/COBOL 390 accessing DB2 databases in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment.

Must have three (3) or more years of mainframe and complex CICS
applications development experience.

Must have ability to support full life cycle testing for a large complex
computer system.

Must have working knowledge of the following: SoapUI, MIME, TSO, Abend-AID,
File-AID, QMF, Xpediter, IDCAMS, Syncsort, Network Data Mover (NDM), Secure
File Transfer protocol (SFTP), and DB2 UDB tools.



Complete fluency in speaking and writing in the English language is
required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to
gather and provide information effectively, regardless of audience.

Must be able to work well within a team environment and have exceptional
collaborative skills. Must be service oriented with strong interpersonal
skills with all levels of business and technical staff.

Demonstrated analytical skills that include working directly with business
staff to determine sound technical solutions for business requirements.

Must be able to create and maintain supporting technical documentation.

Must be competent in overall PC skills including the use of Microsoft
Office products (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio,
Microsoft Access, etc.)

Strong organization, planning, problem solving, and decision making skills.
Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.



Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in IT related field of study.

At least 2 years’ experience as an applications developer working on a
medical claims processing systems application (e.g., Medicaid, Medicare, or
Health Insurance is highly desirable).

Experience with ACA CAQH Core Rules solutions.

Experience with export/import of XML files.

Experience with PowerBuilder.

Experience with IBM MQ Series.

Experience with VBScript.

Experience with Sybase EDI Software.

Experience working as part of a large (40+) software development team using
structured procedures and guidelines.

Experience with IBM database tools.
