Only Local Candidate who can go for In Person Interview Position: SQL Server Developer DBA Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: Long Term Contract Interview: Telephonic and In Person Qualifications: • BS/MS in Computer Science or related experience • Able to interpret business requirements and programming specifications to write database programs that solve business needs. • Experience with Architecture design of multi-tiered client/server applications. • Must be well organized and self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. • Strong verbal/written communication skills. • Ability to work with others in a team environment. • Ability to work on aggressive schedules. May require work beyond normal hours (weekends or evenings). Technical Skills: • Experience as a database developer and possess expert level technical skills in SQL programming, database engine, stored procedure creation and optimization, as well as script writing, batch processing, and report generation. • Experience working as Database Administrators in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, tuning and maintenance of highly available (HA) and highly transactional databases. o Experience with multi-terabyte databases and multi data-center replication is mandatory . o Experience with clustered implementations is mandatory. • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and PostgreSQL experience are mandatory. • Expertise with design and development of SSIS packages. • SSAS 2012/2014 Tabular and Multidimensional Solutions. • Working knowledge of Oracle/ is a plus. • Experience in the brokerage industry/financial background is required • Hadoop/Hive/Hbase experience # of Years Required: 10+ years of experience as a database developer/DBA and possess expert level technical skills in SQL programming Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Perform product analysis and development tasks of increasingly complex nature which may require extensive research and analysis. • Work independently in the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of complex systems with fast turn-around. • Provide detailed analysis of problems, prepare detailed design documents with recommendations. • Apply innovation, creativity and improvement to development process and implement process and procedural improvements. • Stay current with technology and industry best practices to ensure proper utilization of these in software development. • Provide adequate and proactive support for various applications.
