Connected Safety Software lead Farmington Hills, MI 6+ months *Position Summary:* Briefly describe the primary purpose and function of this position. This position is within HARMAN’s Infotainment Division. The purpose of this position is to contribute to developing the software environment to build and demonstrate an industry leading Connected Safety Platform featuring electronic horizon, ADAS, V2X and Cloud connectivity. *• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field * *• At least 5+ years of automotive software experience developing and testing systems * *• Knowledge of C#, Java, Perl, MATLAB/SIMULINK* *• Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment * *Supervisory Responsibilities* :Please indicate the number of direct reports and/or number of indirect reports. *Job Responsibilities:* List the professional and/or technical competencies needed when performing the key responsibilities of the position. Please further explain the breadth of the impact this position has (i.e. affects own team, department, function, division, geography, etc.) Traditional ADAS technologies and features are quickly evolving and it seems clear that integration of electronic horizon, ADAS, V2X, and Cloud Connectivity is inevitable, and will provide a safer, more connected driving experience. The main responsibilities of this position are to comprehend architected solutions and define and develop the software platform and strategy for Harman that serve as the basis for Harman’s Connected Safety Product software environment. Coordination across all of the global sub teams is required to define the overall system solution. The Successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success with hands on execution in developing and implementing vehicle electronic systems specifically related to safety and communication. *Specific tasks include:* • Interface with all CoC teams to understand the specific software requirements of each element of the Connected Safety Platform • Work with Connected Safety Architect to generate software specifications for Connected Safety platform and features • Define Software environment, specify and select OS required to support system requirements • Work with the Functional Safety Manager to define the ISO26262 requirements • Maintain documentation of development activity to protect Harman intellectual property. *Basic Qualifications:* List the minimum and desired education (including degrees, licenses, certification or registrations) and experience needed to perform the key responsibilities of the position.
