*SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT*



The ideal candidate has experience developing, implementing, and
integrating complex systems running on AWS (to include US East, US West,
and GovCloud regions). Successful applicants have a demonstrated track
record of performance and work well in a fast-paced, cross-functional
environment that includes interacting with application developers, security
analysts, and other project support personnel.



Tasks/Responsibilities/Experience:



 Analyzes legacy hosting environments as part of the application migration
process to create “cloud ·ready” solutions



 Designs and leads implementation of secure, complex and multi-tiered
cloud-based solutions with ·emphasis on scalability, reliability, and
availability



 Directs implementation of performance enhancements to improve system
performance and ·optimize resource utilization of cloud-based systems



 Works with technical and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize
system requirements and ·develop technical designs and specifications



 Identifies and implements solutions to reduce software license costs and
maximize use of AMI-·based technologies and native AWS services (including
DynamoDB, Redshift, OpsWorks, etc.)



 Develops AWS-based solutions for client facing presentations, proposals,
and other market ·development activities



 Leads cross functional teams to develop “full stack solutions” to include
infrastructure, applications, ·database, and front end technologies



 Reviews existing deployment environments to develop life cycle cost
estimates and potential total ·cost of ownership savings for migrating to
AWS based solutions



*Education/Qualifications:*



 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services and implementation across
AWS services (S3, ·



EC2, EBS, ELB, etc.)



 Experience with data center modernization and migration ·



 Experience with database administration (Oracle, SQL, MySQL, etc.) as well
as next generation data ·



management technologies (MongoDB, Apache Spark, MapReduce, etc.)



 Familiar with major application programming and scripting languages (Java,
Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or ·PHP)



 Experience developing and managing key performance parameters and service
level agreements for ·large scale systems



 Familiar with government IT security policies and practices; experience
working with FISMA-·compliant systems, NIST Risk Management Framework
(RMF), and NIST 800-53 series of publications



 Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or
related field of study·



 Certified AWS Solutions Architect—Professional, Certified DevOps Engineer
a plus·



 ITIL V3 Foundation Certification a plus·



 Active government security clearance (NACI, MBI, Secret, etc.) a plus;
must be able to pass a ·background check in support of federal contract
requirements







*SOLUTIONS ENGINEER-*



The ideal candidate has experience operating and maintaining applications
running on AWS (to include US East, US West, and GovCloud regions).
Successful applicants have a demonstrated track record of performance and
work well in a fast-paced, cross functional environment that includes
interacting with application developers, security analysts, and other
project support personnel.



Tasks/Responsibilities/Experience:



 Manage operational systems running on AWS to maximize performance,
durability, and reliability·



 Identify and implement technical approaches to improve application service
delivery and reduce ·infrastructure and manpower costs



 Develop migration strategies to transition applications from on-premise
deployments and onto AWS ·platforms



Education/Qualifications:



 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services·



 Systems management, support, and troubleshooting experience for
large-scale production ·applications



 Experience with configuration management and automated deployment
technologies (Chef, Puppet, ·Ansible, etc.)



 Experience in networking technologies (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, Load
Balancing)·



 Familiar with government IT security policies and practices; experience
working with FISMA-·compliant systems, NIST Risk Management Framework
(RMF), and NIST 800-53 series of publications



 Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or
related field of study·



 Certified AWS Solutions Architect, Certified DevOps Engineer a plus·
