This Software Development Engineer at Nordstrom strives to deliver and
consistently verify application code as it is developed; in doing this, you
are ensuring applications maintain the highest quality possible. Your main
responsibility is to write code within agile sprints that will both
implement and validate Nordstrom's large-scale applications. You will
partner with a team of like-minded, cross-discipline software engineers to
plan, create, verify and deploy high-quality, production ready code within
2 week sprints. The software you implement will be built, deployed and
verified on demand in order to drive productivity, quality and robustness.
In a nutshell, you will contribute to both the development and verification
of large scale production code within the development cycle.
*Skills and Capabilities:*
· BDD or TDD Software Development Experience
· Software testing experience including design, implementation,
documentation, and maintenance of test automation
· Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
· Strong passion for quality gates, patterns and practics
· Experience with the full software development lifecycle in an
agile environment
· Object-oriented design and coding skills, ideally in C# or Java
· Experience with databases, SQL and distributed systems
· Experience with web services, ASP.NET, HTML and JavaScript
· Experience with source code management and code reviews in TFS or
Git
· Experience with test tools/frameworks: i.e. Microsoft Test
Manager, Test Controllers, Lab Agents, TFS, JUnit, NUnit, Selenium, SpecFlow
· Knowledge of scripting languages
· Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment
· Experience with Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration a
strong plus

· B.S. in Computer Science or 4 years of relevant work experience
