* Job Responsibilities*
* Lead the SRM architectural design of Client' SRM environment
* Work hand in hand with the Server, Network and Applications teams to
develop & execute upon BC/DR policies/strategies
* Coordinate and lead any remediation projects required to insure
Client' apps are recoverable at all times
* Plan, coordinate and report issues/results of DR tests
* Responsible for the lifecycle management of the SRM infrastructure
* Collaborate with other teams to perform interoperability testing with
all the associated SRM components (e.g. SRAs, VR, vSphere, Load Balancers,
etc.)
* Work closely with the VMware/Storage Engineering teams to align
vSphere/Storage design closely to SRM requirements
* Job Requirement*
* Subject Matter Expert of the following VMware SRM and vSphere 4.x,
5.x components:
* vCenter Server, vSphere Cluster configuration, vSphere Shared
Storage (FC), vSphere Networking (Standard and Distributed), Host
Configuration, HA/DRS/SDRS, Affinity Rules, VM Resources and
oversubscription technologies, ESXi Command Line & PowerCLI
* Strong understanding of Linux (CentOS) and Windows Server
* Working experience with virtualized Microsoft Clusters that
leverage shared disks
* Strong understanding of shared storage protocols (FC) and Shared
Storage Arrays (NetApp FAS or EMC VNX)
* Installation and configuration of all components in a large scale SRM
and vSphere infrastructure
* Working knowledge of the various components that service an
application (e.g. firewall rules, load balancing, routing, operating
systems, application servers, etc.)
* Lead and execute remediation & infrastructure projects
* Strong background in both AD and RBAC
* Ability to communicate very technical information to both technical
and non-technical audiences
* Strong verbal and written communications
* MUST be a team player
* VCP certification preferred
