*Job Description:*



The Manager, Application Development, is responsible for leading multiple
development teams delivering enterprise digital pharmacy projects in the
cvs.com portfolio. Responsible for planning, estimating, providing
day-to-day management, technical leadership, direction and administration
across the full lifecycles of projects in his portfolio (planning through
implementation). Works with technology & business teams, and relevant
functional managers to ensure projects adhere to the CVS enterprise
methodology, and CVS project standards. Provide solutions that meet
business objectives and deliver them on time, budget and with a high degree
of quality. Manage development teams consisting of architects, business
analysts, developers & QA resources, and have overall technical ownership
for all projects in his portfolio. Responsible for establishing and
nurturing critical relationships with appropriate business stakeholders



*Required Skills:*



·         5 years of experience in the field of Java/J2EE-based software
development with at least 2 years experience managing project teams

·         3 years of technical experience with implementation of large
commercial web based systems that utilize J2EE technologies, particularly
e-Commerce

·         3 years of experience in the pharmacy healthcare industry

·         Strong development experience in java technologies and J2EE
frameworks : EJB, JSP, Servlets, JMS, JNDI, JDBC, JMX

·         Applied knowledge of HTML, Javascript, JSP design

·         Applied knowledge of relational database systems

·         Applied knowledge of software development methodologies such as
RUP, Waterfall, SDLC, etc.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work with business users, understand/assess their
needs and form appropriate project teams

·         Ability to manage multiple concurrent project teams delegating
work load and ensuring team efficiency



*Preferred Skills:*



·         Have led FP engagements.

·         Experience with ATG e-Commerce platform and tools a strong plus

·         Endeca XM is necessary
