*Job description:*
- *Own the rapid development of the GUI, from specification through
design, coding, debugging, and deployment.*
- *Convert approved wireframes into functional HTML, CSS, PHP,
Javascript.*
- *Integrate graphic elements into CSS templates*
- Conduct peer reviews with senior manager and supervisor.
- Make revisions to wireframes and templates as needed and requested.
- Verify that GUI meets intent of original wireframes.
- Rapidly address issues and fix defects discovered during deployment.
- Test webpages with different browser versions/types and screen
resolutions
- *Create unit test scripts*
- Implement A/B tests to measure the success of new UI changes.
- Gather metrics and devise new measurement tools to track website
performance and identify bottlenecks.

- BS / BA degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- *4 years of experience as Front End Developer or similar role*
- *Understands responsive design and layout for mobile devices*
- Mastery of the following skills:
- *HTML4/HTML5*
- *CSS2/CSS3*
- *SASS*
- *PHP*
- *Javascript/jQuery*
- *Content Management Systems (i.e. WordPress)*
- *Bootstrap*
- *Optimizely*
- *Google Analytics*
- *CasperJS*
- *Photoshop/Illustrator*
- Experience tuning website performance and resolving latency issues
- Proven track record in developing high quality applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- History of teamwork in writing and deploying code, including
experience with version control systems such as Subversion or Git. Have
experience merging and resolving tree conflicts.
- Experience using different development methodologies including SDLC,
Scrum, and/or Agile, and test-driven development
- Experience with gathering and documenting technical requirements and
specifications.
- Proven experience working in complex technology environments
- Experience in utilizing CDN
- Possesses wide base of experience in many disciplines of information
technology including:
- Optimum Web Application design for maximum performance
- Operating Systems - Windows and Linux
- Performance Management and Capacity Planning
- Understanding of secure coding best-practices
- Understanding of common web application vulnerabilities, including
the OWASP Top Ten, and coding strategies to mitigate those vulnerabilities
