*Location: Denver, CO* *Duration: 6 Months* *Interview: Phone & Face to Face * *Start Date: ASAP * *Description:* Our client is seeking an experienced Senior ETL Developer to join their Data Integration team! The ETL Developer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development and maintenance of ETL processes and applications. The position will be about 75% ETL development, utilizing SSIS and SQL Server, and 25% support. Ideal candidates will be passionate about learning and will be driven to learn new ETL technologies. In addition, candidates must be able to understand complex data structures, and have a strong understanding of logical and physical database design. *Responsibilities:* · Develop ETL packages based on business requirements and service level agreements · Responsible for reviewing requirements, contributing to design components of ongoing and upcoming projects, and effectively estimating development effort · Responsible for developing and documenting the systems, processes and logic required to expose the existing data sets in the warehouse to end users for reporting and analysis purposes · Responsible for delivering quality data integration projects · Responsible for hands on development using SSIS and ETL tools and processes · Ability to code review peers and coach best practices as they relate to SQL Server · Monitor ETL packages for performance and improvement opportunities · Ensure the quality, consistency and security of company data and data warehouse systems *Requirements:* · 5+ years of ETL experience, especially SSIS · Familiar with Data Warehouse concepts · Hands-on experience with all aspects of designing, developing, testing and implementing ETL solutions · Deep understanding of SQL Server Integration Services · Knowledge of optimization techniques for both SSIS and SQL · Basic working knowledge of Oracle · Knowledge of topics such as clustering, queuing and web services a plus *Communication and Cognitive Abilities:* · Ability to switch easily between different projects and flexibility to handle a rapidly changing environment for large volumes of data · Ability to work with both technology and business teams · Knowledge of data modeling and designing databases · Good knowledge of metadata, and using/managing metadata · Ability to develop and organize high-quality documentation · Excellent verbal and written communication skills -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
