Direct Client Role: Cloud Systems Engineer Location: Austin, TX Duration: 12 months+ Job Description: Consultant will join a team that provides the open source monitoring and cloud environment. They are making and supporting an environment for operations people (the people that fix the problems when there's an issue with a server). You will using Python to develop all the scripting for the messaging queues used by the team in supporting the cloud environment. They use Chef as the orchestration tool experience with puppet salt or ansible is acceptable. Requirements: 5 + years of IT experience Experience with one of the following: ü Python, Ruby, Perl or Java. ü They will need to ramp up quickly on Python if they do not have it, so strong OO acumen for a short learning curve is needed. ü They need to have solid programming experience. ü Linux experience, does not need to be an admin here, more like a power user or aficionado of any flavor or spice. ü Exposure to cloud distributed development and /or message queues is preferable. ü Experience with any of the following open source monitoring tools would be fantastic!
