This is a high priority position! *Position Description:* Looking for a talented Foreign Exchange (FX) IT professional for the role of *Quality Assurance Tester* to join a world class IT organization as part of a multiyear strategic growth initiative focused on maximizing market share growth, expanding into emerging FX markets, and developing new products/services As a Quality Assurance Tester you will be joining an already established team who will engineer the next generation of FX applications. The FX Product Development team is responsible for all new development as well as the re-engineering of current product solutions across a number of Global Markets businesses. The Quality Assurance Tester position will be an integral part of the FX Product Development Team and will be responsible for performing quality assurance planning and testing on new applications and supporting one or more applications used by FX electronic trading, Sales trading, Risk management and Agency trading as well as customer facing products such as Street FX. The Candidate is expected to be hands on and to become a business subject matter expert. You will work directly with users and analysts to understand the business and aid in the deployment and post deployment support of the solution developed. As you develop a strong, interactive working relationship you will be an important participant in the commercial success of the business. In this role the candidate will: - Develop specific tests for each application encompassed in the full system, the related integration of applications, and user acceptance level testing: both manual and automated tests as warranted · Provides guidance and direction to program managers, end users, and technical staff on internal or external factors that impact test strategy - Analyzes and provides context and effective presentation of metrics gathered in the test process in order to propose and implement ongoing improvements - Ensures proper procedures and controls are in place throughout the testing process - Participates in production implementation “walkthroughs”, with review and approval responsibility for test discipline, for complex implementations as needed - Participates in production check out activities as a decision maker in the “go/no-go” decision along with other stakeholder groups, for complex implementations as needed The team leverage highly agile software development methodologies to deliver functionality in a rapid, incremental fashion.
