Please find the detailed JD below.* *Role: QA Manager * *Client: AETV* *Location: NYC, NY* *Duration: 1 year* *QA Manager * *Duties & Responsibilities * · Document Quality Assurance policies and procedures, evaluate adequacy and implement Quality Assurance standards for the organization · Manage and develop cross-functional QA teams for both onsite and offshore (~10 members) · Work with QA Director to plan, direct, coordinate QA programs and formulate quality assurance process for Waterfall/Agile development projects · Plan, organize and monitor the execution of the work assignments for QA team which include but not limited to: Planning & analysis, test case design, test execution and test reporting · Work with Project Manager and other technical leads to establish QA milestones and agree on QA test plan/approach · Ensure QA process is documented and communicated and adequate to ensure agreed quality levels for applications (e.g. test plan, requirement tracebility, test coverage, test estimation, issue prioritization and resolution facilitation) · Implement appropriate measurements and test metrics to be applied for system under test and against testing team · Review of test results and defects to determine/assess impact to overall project plan and implementation schedule · Strategic planning and act as a Test Coordinator to ensure testing of functional areas is complete, tracked and on-schedule based on Infrastructure updates and maintenance schedules · Oversee determination of need, selection, implementation and maintenance of QA test tools · Work with technical/development teams to identify unit testing coverage and ensure any gaps are documented and addressed · Demonstrate leadership capability and effectively communicate with QA Director and upper management to synthesize relevant information on QA iniatiatives, milestones, success criteria and risk mitigations · Educate and train peers and subordinates on the QA process and provide guidance to them · Provide coaching and guidance to QA team on ‘best practices’ and process improvements · Facilitates weekly QA meetings and document meeting minutes on team’s SharePoint site *Mandatory Skills & Qualifications * · BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant field · 5+ years work experience in software/hardware testing role · 5+ years managing onsite/offshore testing teams · Experience working within Agile development environments · Expert knowledge of SDLC/STLC, QA methodologies, tools, related techniques, and ability to document & implement QA standards and procedures · Good object-oriented programming knowledge and experience with SQL and databases is a plus · Able to analyze manual processes and define opportunities for offshoring, standardization, streamlining and automation · Must have an understanding of and hands-on experience with automated test tools · Detail oriented with strong communication skills (verbal and written) · Data collection/analysis, management, problem analysis/solving · Planning, organizing, and exercise good judgement in decision making · Customer service orientation · ISTQB Foundation Certified · Excitement and passion for new technologies (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Tableau/BI) 2/2 Thanks *Shashank Mishra* *IDC Technologies, Inc.*1851 McCarthy Boulevard, Suite 116, Milpitas, CA, USA, 95035 *Direct: 408 457 9399 *2059* Email: [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
