Role: Sr. Project Manager Client: University of Texas Duration : 12 Months Location : 2304 Whitis Ave, Austin TX 78712 This solicitation is for a Training Manager PM2 for the Administrative Systems Modernization Program 2.0 (“ASMP 2.0”). ASMP 2.0 is a program comprised of several projects aimed at modernizing the University's administrative systems, business processes, data management, and technical architecture. A key part of ASMP 2.0 is the Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) implementation of the Workday HCM/Payroll and Financials modules. The Worker shall provide training strategy, design, development and implementation support for the University’s ASMP 2.0 ERP implementation. The Worker shall work closely with the ASMP 2.0 University Training Lead and report directly to the ASMP 2.0 Organizational Readiness Lead. The Worker shall work collaboratively with the Enterprise Readiness team, Program Functional team members, and University Subject Matter Expects (“SME”) to develop and implement effective training strategies and processes enabling the successful implementation of ASMP 2.0 Program solutions. These strategies and processes enable University to maximize benefits and lower risks for all stakeholders. The Worker shall incorporate process changes and system capabilities in recommendations and bring experience in ERP training and Best Practices to the effort. The Worker will be responsible for architecting the Training Tenants that will be the basis for ERP training going forward and the integration of training with the new Cornerstone Learning Management System (“LMS”). In addition to being responsible for designing and developing training, the Worker shall also set up delivery methods and schedules for ASMP 2.0 training. The Worker shall provide mentoring to project-level personnel regarding ERP training and performance support methods and deliverables. Organizationally, the Worker will be part of the Enterprise Readiness team and will collaborate on team change management efforts as requested. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Years SkiSkills/Experience 4 Experience planning, designing, and executing enterprise-wide ERP systems (HR & Financials) end user training and performance support deliverables. 4 Experience developing Training Tenants in complex ERP environments. 4 Experience in establishing and working effectively in teams, collaborating across all levels of employment hierarchy and organizational areas. 4 Extensive understanding of instructional approaches for system end-user training and best practices and knowledge of IT-enabled change and benefits delivery. 4 Experience working on process-change activities supported by IT solutions and translating them into performance-based training. 4 Experience delivering training through conducting instructor led training and/or train-the-trainer training, as well as job aids and how-to videos. Updating training materials based on end-user community feedback. 4 Experience in project management or supervision. 2 Experience with authoring software such as Captivate or Articulate. Experience with video production and editing software for training and instructional videos such as Adobe Captivate. Experience researching, creating, and publishing training materials. Experience developing professional presentations using PowerPoint and Prezi. 2 Experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other MS Office applications. Strong Comfortable taking on high levels of responsibility for project deliverables and solutions. Strong Experience successfully making recommendations to Change Leadership and project executive leadership. Unafraid to propose difficult solutions. Strong Leadership skills and experience and ability to capture key elements in brainstorming sessions, generate group member direction, and lead group to define and achieve goals. Strong Experience working independently, effectively managing multiple tasks and directional changes under short and firm deadlines and a strong ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. Strong Interpersonal skills, communication, facilitation and presentation (written and oral) skills. Strong Ability to break down complex concepts and processes into understandable messages, training, and support materials. Degree Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Instructional Design, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Journalism, Psychology, Social Sciences, English, or Business.
