Iris's client, a large Investment Bank that provides corporate, government and institutional clients with a full spectrum of solutions to their strategic advisory, financing and risk management needs, is looking to hire a QA Analyst Position: Sr. QA Analyst Location: New York City, NY Duration: Long Term Contract Basic Qualifications: • Graduate with software engineering background / relevant field • 9 + year of experience in testing (QA/UAT) within medium-large scale programmes. • 3 + years experience of product & business process knowledge (particularly in the areas of Equities, Secured Financing, Finance, Operations, is a plus), • Experience with at least one major migration programme at a large financial institution • Experienced in various testing methodologies and test management / automation tools Person Requirements: • Strong Testing Concepts. • Extensive hands on any scripting tools/ sharepoint automation • Knowledge and exposure to test automation tools like QTP, Test complete • PL / SQL • Good at art of questioning and critical thinking • Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains • Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams • Quick learner, self-starter with ability to drive execution and problem solve independently • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate across business and technology stakeholders at all levels of the organization • Highly organized with strong attention to detail • Strong focus on internal controls • Experienced in working in a direct and matrixed team structure • Ability to deliver in a dynamic environment • Commitment to meeting deadlines • Exposure on working and guiding in a team environment on testing projects • Participate in tasks at org level like training/social activities to promote BTS/Barclays culture Main Duties: • Support the migration test manager in successfully completing Dodd Frank 165 (Octon) business migrations deliverables • Engage stake holders in cross-functional coordination testing efforts related to business migrations. • Planning the test scope / approach for iterative integrated testing, including identification of key test objectives and scenarios, determining methodology for validating test results, implementing appropriate test tools, etc. • Developing strategies for automation and re-run capability to allow for efficient iterative testing • Managing and tracking the test execution against functional scope / requirements and providing regular test status reporting • Maintaining strong communications and relationships with senior stakeholders and project team members across Business and Technology • Create Test ware - estimates, scenarios, cases, and data. • Execute Test and collate evidence. • Defect reporting and tracking. • Monitor team progress and Communicate with stakeholders on test engineering status Preferred Qualifications: • Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage • Software engineering skills - programming/debugging in at least 2-3 scripting or programming languages Thanks and Regards, Chandan IRIS Software, Inc.
